Who operates Aloud
Aloud is operated by Quentin Mayo. Quentin handles product questions, support, and privacy requests at aloudlove.support@programmingsecurely.com. The same contact is available on our support and privacy pages, so you can reach the operator without creating an account.
The product starts with a simple idea: a person can benefit from making a little room for their own thoughts before deciding what, if anything, to share. Personal reflection and meeting people are separate choices. Aloud is for adults 18 and older.
What you can use right now
The Everyday guides cover specific situations: an ordinary day you want to repeat, a choice that feels tangled, a boundary you want to express, the conditions around your energy, a conversation that felt good, and a weekly review. Each guide includes a worked example and an exercise you can use with paper, a voice note, or your own notes.
The free worksheets give these exercises a place to happen in your browser. You can plan an ordinary moment, untangle a decision, practice a boundary, compare everyday activities, understand a good conversation, or review a week without signing in. The worksheet keeps your writing in the page while you work; it does not send the answers to Aloud or save them to an account. Download a text copy if you want to keep it, and clear the worksheet when finished, especially on a shared device.
How we write our guides
The guides are original writing prepared for Aloud. We start with a bounded situation, explain the useful distinction, and show how someone could work through it. Examples are labelled as illustrative. They are not member stories, research findings, or accounts of a particular person’s results.
We separate observations from interpretations, leave room for different circumstances, and offer practical exercises people can adapt. A guide can help you organize your own thoughts; it does not decide what your priorities should be. We avoid presenting one routine or communication style as the right answer for everyone.
Publication dates appear on the guides. When a passage is unclear or incorrect, send the page address and the passage to the support contact. Corrections and material revisions should be reflected in the guide’s date. Suggestions for a useful new situation or example are welcome through the same channel.
What an account adds
An account adds your private journal, voice notes, personal compass, small steps, and a way to revisit your writing. These tools are available without publishing a dating introduction. If you choose to meet people, the app has separate publication, matching, reporting, and blocking controls.
Your journal and recordings are separate from this public library. They do not become guide examples or public worksheet answers. Read the privacy page for how information is stored, the circumstances in which authorized operators may access it, and how to export or delete your data.
